Built from experience.
Designed for life beyond therapy.
Wellness In Motion was created from a unique combination of experience across clinical care, behavioral health, psychiatric environments, rehabilitation, school settings, athletics, fitness, coaching, vocational services, and community-based support.

Malachi Williams, MSOT
Founder Malachi Williams, MSOT, holds a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. His education extends far beyond exercise and fitness, with training in anatomy and physiology, neuroscience, sensory systems, motor development, motor learning, activities of daily living, rehabilitation, behavioral health, and the relationship between the brain, body, environment, and everyday participation.
His professional experience has allowed him to understand human movement, behavior, participation, and independence from many different perspectives. His background includes work as an ABA therapist, vocational instructor, fitness trainer, collegiate Division II coach, Special Olympics basketball coach, rehabilitation coach, and behavioral health professional, along with experience in outpatient rehabilitation, psychiatric and behavioral health environments, schools, fitness settings, and community-based programs.
Each setting provided a different perspective.
Behavioral services
Behavioral services taught him about learning, prompting, reinforcement, motivation, and skill development.
Vocational services
Vocational services showed him what independence looks like when skills have to translate into real responsibilities and real environments.
OT education + rehabilitation
Occupational therapy education and rehabilitation experiences expanded his understanding of the body, sensory systems, activities of daily living, motor function, and meaningful participation.
Exercise science, athletics + coaching
Exercise science, athletics, and coaching developed his understanding of strength, performance, movement progression, and what the human body can accomplish through practice and the right level of challenge.
What happens when we stop looking at movement, behavior, diagnosis, fitness, and independence as completely separate things—and start looking at the whole person?
states
Malachi's journey has taken him across five different states and alongside people with vastly different abilities—from high-level athletes working to optimize performance to individuals who require significant support to initiate, organize, coordinate, or complete everyday movements.
That range of experience shaped the way Wellness In Motion thinks about movement.
Movement is more than exercise.
That's why our programs extend beyond traditional fitness. We create opportunities to practice intentional movement, coordination, motor skills, everyday activities, adaptive fitness, recreation, community participation, and greater independence in real-world environments.
And for Malachi, it starts at home.
As the father of three children and one with special needs, Malachi has also experienced services from another perspective: the family side.
He understands that progress doesn't stop when an appointment ends.
Families still have mornings to get through, meals to prepare, places to go, activities to participate in, friendships to build, and everyday routines to navigate.
That experience helped shape one of the central ideas behind Wellness In Motion.
What happens beyond
the therapy space?
What happens when someone has worked on a skill in therapy but needs opportunities to use it in everyday life?
What happens when someone understands what to do but still needs practice organizing their body to actually do it?
What happens when a person needs movement, confidence, friendship, recreation, independence, or simply an opportunity to experience something new?
What happens when someone doesn't need another hour inside a treatment room—but still deserves opportunities to learn, participate, and grow?
Those questions became the foundation of Wellness In Motion.
Progress looks different for everyone.
Our goal is to take the knowledge behind movement, motor learning, sensory experiences, participation, fitness, human development, and everyday independence and bring it into the places where life actually happens.
